Our Story

Back in 2022, I learned my son was diagnosed with autism. At first, I blamed myself — questioning everything and feeling swallowed by guilt and uncertainty.

Even with people around me, I felt alone in the fear of not knowing what to do next.

Then a close friend introduced me to Kelli — a mom who had already walked this road. That first call changed everything. For the first time, I didn’t feel judged. I felt understood.

That moment became the beginning of MAAM — Mothers and Autism Meetup: a place built to support moms and caregivers with practical tools, real community, and hope that holds up in real life.

Voices Of Real Mothers
Who've Been There

Every since joining it has been a highlight of my journey. To be able to share my journey without judgement to other moms who totally gets it is the best feeling ever. Not only does it gives mom like me voice, but the education we receive along with resources has impacted me and my family for the better. I encourage any mom looking for a support group to join MAAM.

I can't say enough good things about this organization! Starting from the meetups sessions with just us moms or the Medicaid waiver, to the training received from Stress to Strength program. I'm telling you if you are looking for a supportive space, where there is no judgement and moms who understand you. This is the place to be! ↑
