In this workshop, you’ll leave with a clearer understanding of behavior — and what to do in the moment.
✔ De-escalation steps you can use in the heat of the moment (for your child and for you)
✔ A clearer understanding of the “why” behind behavior (triggers, unmet needs, function)
✔ How to respond differently to a tantrum vs. a meltdown (and why it matters)
✔ Prevention strategies that reduce escalation (routines, transitions, choices, consistency)
✔ Positive reinforcement that works at home — without bribing or burning out
Back in 2022, I learned my son was diagnosed with autism. At first, I blamed myself — questioning everything and feeling swallowed by guilt and uncertainty.
Even with people around me, I felt alone in the fear of not knowing what to do next.
Then a close friend introduced me to Kelli — a mom who had already walked this road. That first call changed everything. For the first time, I didn’t feel judged. I felt understood.
That moment became the beginning of MAAM — Mothers and Autism Meetup: a place built to support moms and caregivers with practical tools, real community, and hope that holds up in real life.
A. This workshop is for parents and caregivers of children with autism or developmental disabilities who want practical strategies for behavior, prevention, de-escalation, and building functional skills at home.
A. $15 for the live Zoom workshop.
A. After you register, you’ll receive confirmation and the information you need to join on Zoom.
