Back in 2022, I learned my son was diagnosed with autism. At first, I blamed myself—questioning everything I did during pregnancy. Guilt and confusion consumed me. Despite support from friends and amily, I felt alone in my grief and fear of the unknown. Then, a close friend introduced me to Kelli—my angel. She had walked his journey with her own son and shared her story with warmth, honesty, and hope. That first call lasted 21/2 hours. I cried, we laughed, and for the first time, I began to feel less alone. Kelli became my mentor, guiding me through resources, therapy options, and school planning. She gave generously—her experience, her time, and her heart. Inspired by her, I asked God to bring purpose from this diagnosis. Our monthly Caregiver Support Sessions are available at no cost and offer a therapeutic outlet for parents of children on the autism spectrum. These sessions provide an open, supportive space to share challenges and victories, connect with other caregivers, and gain encouragement from shared experiences.
